I’m so darn short (a note on insecurities)

If you had more confidence, what would be possible for you?

If you weren’t afraid to show the world who you really are, what great things might you do?

These questions give me CHILLS because we are the #1 obstacle standing in our way of a truly fulfilling extraordinary life!

When I was in high school I wrote an essay about my desired future. I pictured myself working in an office building, wearing dress suits, carrying a briefcase, then going home to be with my husband and cat.

That was all I could imagine for myself at the time, which isn’t a bad thing, but as time goes on I crave MORE. More adventure, more connections, more joy, more relaxation, more experiences and sights that take my breath away!

Then the question becomes.. who do I have to be to make that happen?

I have to be confident, willing to take risks, adventure outside of my comfort zone, talk to new people.

While I do all of these things on a regular basis, there’s 1 thing that gets in the way.

I’m so darn short!

I’m just under 5 feet tall! I’m petite. I look young for my age. I often question if people will take me seriously. Who would take life guidance from this tiny little girl?

Many attendees at my events are older than me by 10, 20 and sometimes 30 years.

Will it sound like I’m patronizing them?

But I’ve found that what people see in me more than my size and supposed age is how I make them feel. They see my passion + dedication, they hear my words, and it moves them.

You are so much more than your appearance. When you focus on the gift you have to share with the world and not how you think the world will perceive you, that’s when your life truly begins.

It’s time to come out of hiding and SHINE YOUR LIGHT BRIGHTLY!

Are you ready to see what’s possible when you do?

Share with me in the comments:
What’s 1 thing you really want
1 thing getting in the way of that happening, and
1 tiny thing you can do in the next 24 hours to make it happen?

I want to know!

And more importantly, I believe in you.
