So often I’ve felt like I should be further along by now. I’ve felt like what I want most in life seems to come so easily to others.
Like deep authentic emotional connections.
Or the ability to go on vacation and actually enjoy it, without anxiety ruining it.
I wonder…
Why does this seem to be so much harder for me?
Why is it taking me longer?
For someone who spends so much time connecting with the present moment, I still get stuck in this cycle of expecting everything to be better and easier once I achieve x,y,z.
I’m telling you all this, because we all feel this way at times. I hear it from my clients, friends, and strangers, and perhaps you’ve felt this way before too.
As a coach, I help you see through the veil of your limiting beliefs and unrealistic expectations.
But I still get caught behind that veil myself sometimes. I know what it feels like to be there.
Feeling like I too should be further along in my career, relationships, health, money, you name it.
I used to consider, would I discredit myself as a coach by admitting this to others?
HECK NO!
The goal is NOT to rid ourselves of this feeling. We’re human. It’s part of our experience!
The goal instead is to change how we respond. The goal is to learn how to use our fingers to pull the veil aside and see that there’s so much to be proud of.
I guarantee you did something today your future self will thank you for.
By pulling the veil aside, we allow our present selves to witness and appreciate it too.
So today as my head’s spinning, feeling completely overwhelmed about all I want to accomplish in life, and how seemingly little progress I’ve made toward any of it, I’m reminding myself of these things:
1. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Every little step forward is making impact. I may not always see it, but it’s happening. You may not see it either. Lean in and trust the work is still worth doing, and keep showing up.
2. I facilitated my first ever Living with Loss Circle recently and I’m damn proud of that! I spoke to a group about the loss of my dad, and created space for them to share their experiences with loss as well. It was beautiful and nurturing. For a long time I wanted to do something like this and never felt ready. But I did it. Yes, something definitely to be proud of.
3. I help people open up on the topics that are the toughest to talk about. Sometimes it feels like I’m setting myself up for failure, but I trust I’m doing the work I was made to do. I’m proud of myself for never giving up.
What about you – what are you proud of doing this week? What reminders do you need today?
Do you need a hand in lifting that veil to truly see the greatness within yourself? If so, I’ve got you.
If you feel trapped, knowing this pattern has to change, but change terrifies you, I’ve got you.
If your mind is cluttered and feels out of control, and you have no idea where to even focus, I’ve got you.
I’m here to tell you YES you can have the time to do things you love every day.
YES you can have the deeper relationships you crave.
YES you can and WILL have the confidence to live the life you’ve always wanted.
You CAN feel empowered, free, without worries, without limits.
YOU have the power to create absolutely anything you want in your life – the possibilities are UNLIMITED.
I’ve got you.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
I invite you to an Alive + Aligned Clarity Session, a one-hour transformational coaching session focused entirely on YOU.
Let’s get clear on your vision for what you want, and make a plan to get you on your way to feeling confident, free, and aligned with your passion.
We’ll figure out EXACTLY what you can do next to move forward so you too can feel proud of what you’re doing TODAY.
Imagine yourself showing up every day for the rest of your life saying YES to what truly makes you happy, not letting anything or anyone get in your way.
What else will be possible from there? This thought always gives me goosebumps 🙂
