Do you know how capable, talented, intelligent, needed, and loved you are?
For a long time I didn’t know.
For many of us, work is a place that proves the opposite.
I once had a boss who expected me to perform logistical miracles without any direction.
A first-time project manager, I had NO CLUE what I was doing, besides drowning.
I finally asked for help, and she seemed annoyed, as if I should just know what to do on my own.
“I’m not smart enough,” I told myself. “I don’t belong here. I don’t deserve this job.”
After 1 year of eating my sorrows I gave my resignation, deciding to take a 180 turn and go to massage school.
The funny thing is the company was shocked I was leaving. By then I had a new boss who was pleased with my work.
The harm in worrying about what others think is when we let it define how we feel about ourselves.
I made an ENTIRE career change because of one woman’s perception of me.
Except that perception was really a reflection of how I viewed myself. She never told me I was a failure. I told MYSELF that.
If I had any sense of worth then, I would’ve taken her feedback to grow and become more confident.
Instead I focused on how I’d never be enough.
If you’re letting others’ opinions of you dictate how you feel about yourself, it’s time to reclaim your self-worth and see the truth – that you are spectacular as you are!
If you stick around with me here long enough, I promise you will start to see these changes:
+ Instead of worrying about what others think, you’ll make decisions considering your needs and wants
+ Instead of thinking how you might mess something up, you’ll take action knowing you always do your best
+ Instead of feeling resentful, you’ll take constructive feedback to grow
+ Instead of second-guessing all your ideas, you’ll trust yourself because you know how accomplished and capable you are!
+ Instead of waiting for someone else to approve of you, you’ll already know because you’ll be telling yourself!
+ You’ll feel deserving of your job, relationships, and all opportunities and blessings that come your way.
And if you want to accelerate your experience of self-worth, you can always book a session with me.
Thanks for being here!
Cheers to worthy living and seeing ourselves as the spectacular beings we are!
