What are you feeding your mind?

When you think about getting healthier, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?

Food and exercise perhaps?

Equally important as what we feed our bodies is what we feed our MINDS.

When we nourish our bodies with nutritious foods, we receive more energy and vitality.

When we nourish our MINDS with uplifting thoughts, we receive inspiration, confidence and also more energy!

While scrolling through Facebook recently, it suddenly hit me that the stories were bringing me DOWN. Why was I still reading?

Because it took me 10 minutes to notice.

Are you aware of how what you’re consuming is making you feel?

You can stop reading, stop consuming, at any time if it doesn’t feel good. That’s what I did. Then I shifted my focus to something that DOES feel good – watching one of my favorite speakers deliver an upbeat inspirational video.

There’s a lot of anxiety-provoking content out there these days and sometimes we just need to shut it off for the sake of our mental health and overall wellbeing.⁣

We can also proactively consume more of the “nutritious” stuff to keep ourselves in an elevated state of mind.

That’s why I start every day with fresh air, movement, positive self-talk, breathing, and visualizing my success and happiness.

When I do this, I start my day feeling grateful to be alive and excited about the possibilities ahead.

I’m more likely to continue making positive choices throughout the day, and should I come across something that doesn’t feel so good, I notice quickly and switch gears.

This is just one of the ways I rebuild mental clarity + confidence after a day of anxiety.

If you’ve experienced anxiety, you know it can completely derail you for hours or days and keep you from enjoying the blessings you already have.

Every day and every moment is an opportunity to make a new choice. We can let the past stay in the past and focus anew in the present. But with anxiety that can feel a lot easier said that done, sometimes impossible.

I invite you to stick around here as I continue to share simple life-changing daily practices I use to manage anxiety, restore mental clarity, and live life on my terms. I hope it inspires you to develop and stick to your own healthy habits and routines, or as I like to think of it, a mental meal plan!

If you feel stuck and don’t know where to start, or can’t seem to follow through on what you know you should be doing, reach out. I’m here for you. I want to see you soar!

I love helping you reach your potential and feel your best by selecting “foods” with care and making sure they taste good.

Remember that you DO have control over how you feel!

To mustard greens for the mind!
